Stevens Vapor Disc
Stevens is known the world over for their love of cyclocross racing and they have the palmares to prove it!! Numerous national and world championship victories have been earned aboard Stevens bikes, inlcluding US National Champion Katie Compton who piloted a Stevens cyclocross bike to victory. With a race-pedigree like Stevens it's no wonder they are one of the first companies to embrace disc brake cyclocross bikes.
The Vapor is the first bike in the Vapor line to feature disc brakes. And it's no surprise that disc brakes are going to be a game changer in the cyclocross world, with the incredible stopping power and modulation disc offer, you can brake later and harder going into muddy corners.
It's best to think of the Vapor as the disc version of the Stevens Prestige, the frame material and geometry are almost identical to the Prestige and offers the same fantastic ride. However there are a few key differences in order to accomodate disc brakes. The fork offered on the Vapor is made of full high-modulus carbon with an integrated ISO disc brake mount atop it's beefy carbon legs. Stevens has also beefed up the tapered carbon steerer and head tube to match. This combination allows a significantly stiffer front-end to handle the increased loads offered by the disc brakes.

Lightweight Butted 6061 Frame
For the Vapor, Stevens employs the lightweight butted 6061 aluminum alloy main tubes & stays. Resulting in a bike that not only rides like a proven race machine, but can handle late season CX racing.
Aggressive Race Geometry
We just LOVE the unbashedly aggressive race geometry. This is a cyclocross race bike for road racers, with a long-ish top tube and short head tube you can easily replicate your road setup with no problems.
Full High-Modulus Carbon Fork
In order to meet the increase forces of disc brakes, the Vapor is equipped with a full carbon fork. And with the 1 1/8" to 1 1/2" tapered steerer and headtube the front end is stiff while still offering comfort to smooth out the ruts.
