Pinarello Dogma 65.1 Think 2
Few bike manufacturers evoke the history, romance and competitiveness of bicycle racing as does Cicli Pinarello S.p.A. Giovanni Pinarello has been making bicycles since the end of the 1940's and to this day Giovanni is involved with both design and testing of every bike that bears his name.
The Pinarello Dogma is the culmination of almost 70 years in the manufacture of bicycles. The Dogma is the successor to the Pinarello Prince range and has been in production since early 2010. The frame introduced an entirely new frame design with the use of Pinarello's asymmetric design. This asymmetric design means that the right-side of the frames has different tube shapes and carbon layup than the left-side. Resulting in a frame that provides increased rigidity against the forces from the drivetrain.
In 2011, the Dogma2 was released with improved aerodynamics, utilizes stronger and more rigid carbon fiber, 65HM1K and universal cable mounting, which easily handles mechanical or electronic shifting.
Team Sky
Team Sky was formed in 2009 with major sponsorship provided by BSkyB (British Sky Broadcasting), a British Satellite Television provider. Since Team Sky's inaugural season, Pinarello has been the premiere bike sponsor.
The entire 25 man squad all race the roads of the UCI World Tour aboard Pinarello's Dogma 65.1 Think2 for road races and Pinarello GRALL Crono's for time trials. In 2012 Team Sky Captain, Bradley Wiggins piloted the Dogma 65.1 to a victory at the 2012 Tour de France.
The Pinarello Dogma 65.1 Think 2 is the exact same bike that Team Sky rides during the season. These bikes are "beautiful works of aerodynamic art".
Features
65HM1K Nanoalloy Carbon Fiber
The new Dogma features an all new 65-ton carbon fiber from one of Japan's leading carbon fiber suppliers, Torayca. This all new fiber offers increased rigidity and smoothness while also decreasing weight.
Think Asymmetric
The Dogma 65.1 Think 2 continues Pinarello's Asymmetrical Frame design. Each half of the frame is built with different tube shapes and carbon layup combinations in order to equalize the forces of the single-sided drivetrain.
